Our Story

ParamountABA provides quality Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to adults, adolescents, and children with developmental disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorder in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Our services are provided through the individual’s home, community, clinic, parent and vocational training.

ParamountABA was founded by Alicia and Vanessa to meet the growing need for quality and ethical Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services in the Eastern Pennsylvania area. We place a strong focus on providing high level supervision and training to our staff so they in turn may provide high level services to you and your loved ones! We aim to put our clients first and take care of our staff. We want to make sure we are not a company that makes decisions solely on financial gain and we put every effort into making decisions that will improve your loved ones’ quality of life.

Alicia Waranis

Ed.S, BCBA, LBS

Co-Founder & Co-CEO

Alicia Waranis is the co-founder and co-CEO of ParamountABA. She is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and Pennsylvania Licensed Behavior Specialist (LBS). Alicia has her Education Specialists degree from Rider University in School Psychology and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) certification from Pennsylvania State University. Alicia’s professional interests lie in organizational behavior management, vision in skill acquisition, staff and parent training in ABA, and application of ABA to neurotypical parenting.

Alicia has been providing behavioral support to individuals who display challenging behaviors since 2009. She has worked with adults, adolescents, and children with developmental disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorders, and mental health disorders in a wide range of settings including state developmental center and psychiatric hospital, private group homes, and with performcare. Currently, Alicia provides school-based ABA consultation as well as ABA in clinic and home settings. In 2016 Alicia was Lead BCBA for in-home ABA programs. Alicia has provided extensive training to behavioral technicians and therapists, as well as BCBA candidates. She loves seeing the difference ABA can make to a child and their family’s life, and enjoys the process of working with families to meet their goals with their loved ones.

Vanessa Bethea-Miller

MA, BCBA, LBS

Co-Founder & Co-CEO

Vanessa Bethea-Miller is the co-founder and co-CEO of ParamountABA. She is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and Pennsylvania Licensed Behavior Specialist (LBS). Vanessa is pursuing her doctorate of philosophy in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and currently holds a Master of Arts in Applied Psychology with a concentration in ABA from Rider University. Vanessa has research interests in skill acquisition, siblings of children with ASD, very early social skills intervention, dissemination of behavior analysis through juvenile justice and criminal justice research, and the application of applied behavior analysis to juvenile detention centers.

For the past 5 years, Vanessa has dedicated her time to working with individuals with Autism and Developmental Disabilities with or without a co-occurring mental illness. She has work as a Director of Behavior Support Services for an adult residential facility and their day programs as well as a Behavior Analyst consultant in the homes of youth and adults.  She has also taught Applied Behavior Analysis at the college level and presented at conferences in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Lastly, Vanessa has utilized components of school wide positive behavior support and applied them to the juvenile detention center.
